Three Days Jordan Minitour
3 days / 2 nights - Departing from Sheik Hussein Border
Day 1:
Departure from Sheik Hussein Border (Beit She'an). Meet local
Jordanian guide on Jordanian side of border and travel to Jerash for a
guided tour of the "Roman City" considered one of the largest and most
well-preserved sites of Roman architecture in the world outside Italy. To
this day, it's colonnaded streets, baths, theaters, plazas and arches remain in exceptional condition.
Afternoon Travel to Amman – sight seeing tour of the Capital of Jordan.
Dinner and overnight Amman.
Day 2:
After breakfast drive to Petra along the King's Way" route, enter
Petra through Al-Siq, a winding trail at the bottom of a natural deep canyon, at the end of which reveals itself the most famous Treasury Monument .
Hear story of the Nabateans who have established Petra as their capital on the “Spice Route”. Dinner and overnight Petra.
Day 3:
After breakfast drive North with stops for visits at Dana Village
overlooking the magnificent Dana Wadi and Nature reserve, Kerak Byzantine Fortress and the holy city of Madaba, well known for its outstanding Byzantine mosaics. See St. George Cathedral, home of the earliest surviving map of the Holyland in a mosaic floor dating back to 560AD.
Continue to Mt. Nebo, the traditional burial site of Moses. Visit the ancient church at the top of the hill, overlooking the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley.
Afternoon travel back via Jordan Valley road to the Sh. Hussein Border.
